For the 2011 summer season we offered the following adult coaching sessions –
FREE Rusty Rackets coaching – we had six great fun and free sessions for players getting back to Tennis and warming up for the season ahead after a Winter indoors!
We have held these FREE sessions for beginners and new members getting back to tennis for the last 3 years and it is hoped that we will be able to continue to offer these in 2012. The sessions have resulted in excellent opportunities for inexperienced players to build confidence and more experienced players to emerge ready for Team action!
LADIES COACHING
Jenny has continued with her successful Friday morning sessions and reports growing interest and numbers. A great way to keep fit and learn new skills.
CLUB TEAM COACHING
Four very intense but enjoyable Sunday afternoon sessions for club / team players – focusing on the important issues for all Team Players – experienced and less so – covering PreMatch Warmup, Service and Return, Doubles Tactics and Doubles Channel System – Playing at Net. Loads of drills and practice games to sharpen tactics and technique. As Nick Bollitieri says “you must practice with a purpose”. These sessions were designed to give a taste of the key issues team players should address, and already some teams have been seen practising hard! We hope that in 2012 this fresh approach will result in consistent and steadily improving performance for West End teams
