Banbury West End had two matches this week, both in the Oxfordshire league. The first was a ladies match against a strong Bicester team. West End 1st pair, Denise Sexton and Andi Padbury had a good afternoon beating the Bicester 1st pair 6-3, 6-3 and the 2nd pair 6-4, 6-4. The BWE 2nd pair, Jenny Tucker and Nicky Scott struggled and lsot the the 1st pair 0-6, 5-7 and the 2nd pair 1-6, 3-6. This was a reasonable result against a strong team.

The second match was a mens match against Blewbury B team. First pair Mike Robinson and Doug Wade halved with the Blewbury 1st pair 3-6, 6-2 but beat the 2nd pair 6-3, 6-3. The West End 2nd pair, Jeremy Turner and Paul Brown had a really good afternoon and won both their matches. They beat the 1st apir 6-0, 6-2 and the 2nd pair 6-1, 6-2. This was a brilliant result for West End.
