Banbury West End had two matches this week, both in the Banbury league. The first was a floodlight match with BWE B team playing Hook Norton A.  West End ladies, Becky Shardlow and Jane King halved their match 6-4, 1-6 whilst the men, Paul Derbyshire and Robin Woodbridge lost 3-6, 1-6. The first mixed was Becky Shardlow and Paul Derbyshire which they halved 6-1, 4-6 whilst Jane king and Robin Woodbrige lost 2-6, 2-6. This was a good match but BWE lost 2-6 to a stronger team.

The second match again was a struggle against a stronger team. BWE mixed A team played Warwick A in division 1. Ladies Rosie Clarke and Andi Padbury failed to put in a strong resistance to the Warwick ;ladies losing 1-6, 3-6 whilst the men, Paul Brown and Jeremy Turner halved their match 3-6, 6-4. Both mixed pairs, Paul brown and Rosie Clarke as first pair, and Jeremy Turner and Andi Padbury as second had the same result. Both pairs won the first set 6-1, but lost the second 3-6. This resulted in a 3-5 loss for BWE which was a little disappointing.
